Good point cr, we all need to be cautious but thats why we concentrate in gorillas and kings, it stacks the odds in our favor.

I do think you're right--this has been a bonanza for stocks like JDSU or QCOM...OTM calls work in such a situation, but in general, DIM are far safer. Although I do know someone who made a very significant fortune only buying way OTM leap calls, two or three at a time, and protecting those positions sometimes with puts.

So, this is all a really great learning experience for me...
