That's right Rande, on 12-31-99 we will have completed 1,999 years A.D.; but "new millenium" sounds so cool you know that we have to celebrate it now in our "we want it now" society.

Yep... Christ was born on Day 1 of Year 1...
At the START of Year 1...
The Start of AD.

The Start of the First Century/Millennium.

1 + 1000 = 1001
1001 + 1000 = 2001, etc.

The Start of the 21st Century will be 1-1-2001.

Now, we can sell more champagne, have bigger parties, and SELL more goodies!

I wonder what the media's excuse will be as we get closer to the Real Start of the next 100/1000 years?

I emailed CNBC about this... The Media... Ignored...
I did hear them starting to hedge today...
But they can't spoil the party THIS year...

Happy Y2K!

Joe
