Gee, how did your great3 grandfather get James
K. Polk and Zachary Taylor.
to cooperate in giving him a farm. They were deadly enemies, you know.

Is your tenant banned from program membership just because the landlord won't join. I find it amazing that someone who thinks the government has cheated him so badly on SS doesn't get some of his own back by cashing in on the crooked "Freedom to Farm" benefits. It shows a nice sense of delicacy, or, as I prefer, a tendency toward self-mutilation.

As for your SS benefits, every year you delay after 62 receiving benefits your benefit increases by 7+ percent. Its called an actuarial investment -- the government tries to keep the present value at age 62 independent of the exact time you choose to retire (up to age 70). That's how I hope to clean up (by the way, I don't like all you pills cheering for my early death!). I've been dragging down maximum bucks and cheerfully paying my obscene SS taxes and getting richer every year. Of course, I foresaw that farming would suck because of all you guys who keep planting more as prices go down. Have you ever thought how much better you would be off if your ancestors had sold the land in 1918 and bought some IBM?
