Brian - Corvis has been very secretive about its technology.
How can anybody know, with any degree of certainty, that they are ahead of any other company. I suspect their products are much the same as the other companies.

Hi Brian - I know about CSCO/Cerent relationship. That's why I said what I said.

Brian, are you working for Corvis? I am just curious because it has been reported that Corvis has been conducting its business in secrecy. Even if you are working for Corvis, to know Corvis has a year headstart of Qtera requires in depth knowledge of both companies. If memory serves, you told me [on LU thread] that you have not followed long haul segment then [no more than a few weeks ago.]

I don't mean to put you on the spot, since I consider a cyberfriend just the same, but I am trying to figure out if my memory is going <SG>, which is highly possible at my age, or you may be a little bit ahead of me - or yourself. It is also likely you are a quickstudy. Hopefully, you will treat us long time optical network watchers just the same.

But you are absolutely right, it was reported that NT did go after Corvis. I do have a lot of respect of Corvis, but I think Qtera with NT is just fine.

good luck to you too

best, Bosco
