Ken: It's probably not a brilliant flash of insight, but the most insidious Y2K problems may be the little ones that don't attract a lot of attention immediately but cumulatively are big enough to topple confidence. If the power grid goes down, there are enough smart people who can be thrown at the problem. But what if the problems are small, diverse, and distributed. Little things like oil wells or factories in newly industrialize countries upon whom we rely for a massive quantity of imports to satiate booming domestic demand. With financial markets priced for perfection from here to the 22nd century, who can say what the impact might be.
