AOL Leads Forbes Platinum 400 List, Followed By Dell and Jabil


Dulles, Virginia, Dec. 26 (Bloomberg) -- America Online Inc. was No. 1 on the Forbes Platinum 400 list, with the highest return on equity during the past five years, and Dell Computer Corp. and Jabil Circuit Inc. were ranked No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. AOL shares have risen more than 87-fold in the past five years, and it's the only company that solely does business over the Internet on the list of companies with more than $750 million in annual sales. The following companies were ranked No. 4 to No. 10, respectively: Qualcomm Inc., Sun Microsystems Inc., Cisco Systems Inc., Safeguard Scientifics Inc., EMC Corp., Sanmina Corp. and Charles Schwab Corp.
