(Dec. 28) --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- *T WHAT: The 18th Annual NCA Senior and Junior High School National Championship WHEN: Preliminaries Tuesday, Dec. 28th 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 6 Finals Wednesday, Dec. 29th 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. WHERE: Dallas Convention Center Arena, 650 South Griffin St., Downtown (Press passes will be available through media relations at will-call upon arrival.) Judges' decisions are final. -- The judging and scoring for this year's championship is similar to that of gymnastics, diving and figure skating with scores ranging from 0-10, including 10th of points, with a final computerized average. Judges scores for cheerleading fundamentals include tumbling, partner stunts and pyramids, jumps and motions or dance. Performances are limited to 2 minutes and 15 seconds. -- The NCA Senior and Junior High School National Championship will air in a one-hour special during a Month of Spirit in May on USA Sports Cable Network. USA is the highest rated cable network in America. They recently added marquis sports properties such as US Open Tennis Championships, PGA Golf Tournaments and Professional Figure Skating.
