arba/cmrc - the key i think is if the big companies can move fast enough...certainly microsoft was able to and ibm now says 1/3rd of all its revenue comes via internet products/services

at these valuations arba and cmrc may be in for a tough ride, unless these two can start consolidating the sector, define and control some standards as checkpoint did in security...although chkp did so without consolidating and had the benefit of a 40% marketshare thanks to its sun agreement which bundled its firewall on sun servers

if ariba or commerce one can get bundled into a microsoft or ibm ecommerce solution suite then that would probably be good for either of them

agree that the year 2000 is the year of the big tech coming at the net
