How much was the house when they bought it?

I am guessing not 500k. Is there another working spouse involved? And what exactly is his salary- with all the added stuff- we don't know his name so guess.

And what you are saying is he needs to take on about 3 extra jobs in order to make his salary- as Michael C. would say "You've proved my point"- so thank you for that. I don't know any teachers who leave when the bell rings- they can't. They have all their prep work to do. They have their classrooms to decorate. Even the really bad teachers do some of that. And most teachers aren't really bad. Most teachers are fairly good. I'm not sure they ought to have to take on all those extra jobs in order to afford a nice house.
