News December 27, 13:02 Eastern Time RESEARCH ALERT- Digimarc started with buy NEW YORK, Dec 27 (Reuters) - Hambrecht & Quist said Monday it has started coverage of Digimarc Corp. , which makes digital watermarking technology to fight counterfeiting, with a buy rating and an $85 price target. -- said Digimarc addresses a large market opportunity based on the growth of digital imagery and the Internet. -- added that Digimarc has been awarded a multi-year contract by a global consortium of leading central banks to develop a system to prevent the digital counterfeiting of currency. -- shares of Digimarc were down 3-13/16 at 58-1/2 on Nasdaq.
