It sounds like the thing that makes the Female "impure", is intimate contact with a male...reproduction, gestation and birth, hmmm. This just sounds More and More like a Duck all the time. "judaochristianity" and all it's ugly cousins was/IS an organized effort and cultural movement designed to usurp Women's Reproductive Autonomy and to disempower, undermine and homogenize Women and Female Sexuality. Because men cannot contain life itself within their bodies, they are compelled to create gods in their own image. It's their way of having babies. "I think you are being a little one-sided in your coverage. The matriarchal gods were not all warm and nurturing either. Agreed! The reason that "matriarchal gods" were less than "warm and nurturing" is, again, the fact that they were created by the most powerful, elite males of the society...they were designed to assume all the projected base qualities of their creators...which explains "why", or rather, Y: " Gods of either sex just aren't known for being easy-going."
