Ram, perfection does not exist (by definition) thus yields are nil. In any production environment you set up thresholds of quality which is commensurate with market expectations. In a process having more than 20 steps, each step will have to have in excess of 98% yield to have a total yield of 80% or so, and if each step is only at 95% you may have real yield problems.
