I was trying to determine if the news was real and now it appears that Dow Jones screwed up.

Given the growth rate of the cold virus, and the fact that it is present in the body for several days prior to becoming symptomatic (4 days???), and given the fact that Zicam can apparently put a stop to the even the highly concentrated amount virus necessary for symptom in 1-1.5 days, it occurs that there is an alternate way in which the product could be used. Why couldn't it be used for prevention instead of treatment?

It would seem to me that a treatment with Zicam every 3-4 days should be effective to cancel out any virus present well before any symptoms appeared. Even a once-a-week usage might be sufficient to be an adequate prevention.

Incidentally, after using the product, I increased my holdings somewhat.
