Gee Whiz, Eric, Keep It Simple obviously didn't explain it simply enough to you. Lemme try: Everyone proffited from the Oil biz, in quality of life and bank account. What does that have to do with the success or failure of internet companies? You and I certainly profit from the internet, but that doesn't mean that the internet companies will share in the profits. Try this on for size: The internet kills the middleman by empowering consumers with greater choice. Amazon is just a middleman for books. Ergo, _____<fill in the blank here>____
