Window dressing is definitely a factor, but it is also a flight to quality. Considering the froth in the internet sector, especially the B2C segment, NT has a great expansion at least 2 or 3 years down the road for her existing core businesses. Considering Mr Roth's aggressiveness in moving into other somewhat related area, like ASP [Appl Svs Provider,] Clarify, PRISM etc, she is not the old POTS anymore

best, Bosco

Kenneth, NT going from "value" to "growth" according to Bob Pissani on CNBC. I think that related to S and P rebalancing. Now we have our answer since growth is more popular than value.

Wait a minute!
NT a value stock???
Now we have our second reason for the move up. It should have been a growth stock to begin with. I think people are realizing that NT is a very well positioned company going forward. Some former Lucent investors may be buying or at least diversifying a little.
