Mani, in the audio they said that Fujitsu and AMD has 35% of the flash market....do you know what percentage intc holds?

This should give AMD a pop up tomorrow.

Mani,

Fujitsu, AMD to Expand Flash Chip Production by 1/3
Monday December 27, 5:25 pm Eastern Time

biz.yahoo.com;

Some important points from this audio clip -

o AMD/Fujitsu will increase Flash Memory production by 1/3 starting
from 2Q'00.

o Currently they are producing 24Million 8Mbyte Flash devices/month
for the Cellular Phone market. The production will be increased to
32Million such chips per month.

o AMD/Fujitsu world wide Flash market share is 35%. World wide Flash
market size was USD 2.1B in 1998.

Based on my estimate of 310M of flash revenues in Q1'00, the total Flash revenues in Y2K can easily approach 310M + 3*310*1.35 ~ 1.6B, ignoring any ASP degradation and any other incremental capacity increases in the rest of the Y2K.

Good to hear Flash is staying on track. This should provide some impressive earnings growth if the flash market holdsup.
