..in a few weeks from now when you realized everything is normal and the ED's and North's of the world were way off the mark, who will be the blind sheep then??

Well, quite unlike Gary North, who prays for global catastrophe (and has been for the past 20 years), Ed Yardeni has stated many times that he hopes that he is incorrect.

And since Yardeni has nothing to gain but the criticism of his less concerned peers, I think his concerns should be noted in all fairness. He certainly has a case for believing that overseas Y2K disruptions will not go unnoticed here in the US and could theoretically cause another case of "Asian Contagion" and capital flight to US bonds.

But I do not believe it is the end of the world and neither does Ed.

Regards,

Ron
