It strikes me that the reference to HDG and the fact that Teck is basically getting involved to assist with fund raising indicates that HDG are out. The new directors would also indicate this to me.

I believe from the HDG web page that they must give approval; as well, they probably exit via a share purchase buy back. They may well be a source of some of the supply.

It would be nice if Teck could indicate whether any high level employees have been assigned to the deal or if they are just going to use grunts to comment on the mining. Teck didn't see fit to issue this deal as a public news release. There was nothing in the Globe or the Post.

There was a good article in the Globe yesterday about the mining industry in Que., in particular a reference to the fact that the majority of work undertaken now relates to the resurection of mine sites. At least these guys are riding the right car!
