And here we are again. . . 1999, and countless visionaries see the future different than many of us can imagine. Some have already become tycoons. Others are still thought to be insane.

I think I'm still in the insane category Rande ... hoping to move on to the tycoon category soon. <ggg> I have a B2B business in the electronic components area (still private). It's really exciting to find solutions to the problems of so many worldwide ... solutions that were just not available for whatever reasons.

Lola:)

Rande, Brilliant analysis.. I for one, agree with your hypothesis.
Surely there will be ups and downs, but this is a new era with great opportunities.

OT:

Certainly, the world will be a different place.

True, the world's technology will be a different place in the future, but I am reminded that the heart of man is still the same throughout ALL of history. No technology in the world can change the sinful wickedness of man's greedy and prideful heart. Changing man's heart requires a change from within, and not the external technology changes around us.

What is progress really?

Going out on my own limb (just food for thought),
KT

You forgot my favourite analogy - the Wright brothers. If they formed a company and IPO'd, what would people value the company in hindsight, for the privilege of flying as we do today ???

Great post.
