NEWS - December 28, 1999; 12:30 a.m. ET - A spokeperson for Sean "Puffy" Combs stated that the gun found in the car (occupied by Puffy Combs, Jennifer Lopez, a body-guard and a driver), was not his. "I was on the lap-top makin' a affer-hours trade when these homies pulled us over. I wuz buying Cabletron on-line; I wuz not shootin' anybody; It wuz not my gun - I never seen it before."

Puffy was arrested and later released on bond after being charged with possession of stolen merchandise (the gun). Authorities confirmed that Puffy had indeed placed an order for 1,000 shares of Cabletron at the market. Puffy declined to comment on the total number of Cabletron shares he now has in his account. A representative of Cabletron failed to return a phone call to this reporter.
