You are raising some very pertinent points. The main differences between the overclocked Celeron and the PII or PIII are in two areas. First the L2 cache (128 vs 256K), then the FSB (66 vs 100 for the PII, or 133 for the PIIIB). I am not an expert in judging the difference that these two factors will make in the overall speed of a computer, especially if you are already using at least 128K of SDRAM or more.

I would also like some comments on comparisons of speed between, say, a single PIII 550 and dual overclocked Celerons. Thanks.
