That is exactly why I said what I did. Rambus has a long history of disappointing, and the Shorts know this. Yes anything is possible, but not likely. Don't under-estimate the 8 million plus shares that are short, they have also done careful research, and aren't a bunch of nuts. They have survived many quick and powerful run-ups of this stock only to watch it tumble soon afterward.

My point is it won't be just some good news , but the need for some sustained tail wind to clear the dense fog all around.

We could easily see a 50% up move on nothing but pure momentum. It just takes a spark, which doesn't even have to be real news, let alone significant news. The high short interest is very dangerous.

i agree.
that spontaneous eruption you suggest happened yesterday to two other high short interest stocks i follow gstrf and cmrc.
