imo, the fed will act aggressively early in the year, first tightening the money supply, then raising rates. If we get another tech explosion from 10/00-4/01 despite rates, the fed will finally increase margin requirements in 2001. They are trying to not overreact, but this market is not making their job easy.

You still think we see multiple rate hikes with the 2000 election coming. I have a feeling that the Fed will be extremely cautious when raising because of the election. AG wants to get reappointed. You are right about the majority of economists basically being idiots. Larry Kudlow is the one pundit I've seen who really seems to get understand that we don't live in a postwar 1948 environment anymore. By the way keep up the good TA work.
