Finally set up with wireless RIM 950 for trades, quotes, email. But no SI intraday updates, nor intraday charts. I still saw buy signal for #11 but entered at day high.

Earnings Plays Profits Surpass Momentum plays in the last 10 days... Earnings plays outdid all the other plays in volume and price this last week. companies like PHTN, COHU, CTXS, KLAC, CREE, RFMD XLNX, MOT, INTC, COSI (on Stocks in the News page> IONA, AVX, MERQ.. In fact in Tuesday's Investor's Business Daily Section (Most active and "Where The Big Money's Flowing") we found a good deal of our earnings plays: KLAC up 18 1/4 and called out days before it hit this big, CREE, CTXS, COHU (3rd place), MTSN (4th place on the list) CTXS up 13 13/16, MOT (a buy all week) and INTC ( a 6 day hold) all appear on this list. AMCC, GALT, TEVA, PRLX MTSN, BBOX,and XLNX hold their places on this list. MIPS a great multi-day gainer dropped only 5/8 and AMCC only gave back 1 3/8 after substanially higher gains. CONCLUSION: 1) the technology sector, whether small, mid or large cap are still the leaders when the earnings are backing them up. 2) Swing and position trades (the biotech sector called early) are the most profitable well outdoing the average daytrade. By putting in stops and trailing you are relatively safe from losing too much of your profits as you take the stock home. Our foreign ADR TRAA did terrific and SNRS did in fact get FDA approval for their laser. From the 13th January watch List: Note how CTXS, KLAC, RFMD, NEWP popped nicely. MOT also looks good if a little pricey. Trading just below its 50 day MA, look for about 71 1/2 and bounce off the 50 day MA..( on daily chart) For daytraders, ASWX already closed above its 20 period MA and if it continues will be a continuation of short term uptrend. 11> PRLX - PARLEX CORP .ECC Price= 24.0 VL/30= 60.4 %Rnge= 100.0 Sto9V= 36.0 W14dV= 52.8 %Hi4 = 88.8 1-Dy = 103.2 50MA = 115.3 10MA = 99.6 A really good stock that got oversold and is near a 20 day moving average breakout, also an earnings play. It has beat earnings estimates for the last four quarters. In the first quarter of fiscal 2000 ended Sept. 26, revenue was $20. million, up 32% from the prior year's same quarter. Oversold, and beneath its 20 day moving average. Friday it closed up strongly near the high of the day. Exactly like SSTI, RATL fell beneath its trading range but recovered to close within but near the bottom. Remember we're talking a stock with very high revenue and earnings growth right after a correction and before earnings. Good formula for potential trade or longer term hold.
