Quotes from the short this morning on CNBC:

"Their business model keeps changing trying to accomodate the changing scenarios. First it was sat. service in lieu of cell phones, but then cell phones became cheap and we are all carrying around these little cell phones. Who is going to be carrying around a humongous satellite phone? Now they want to target some guy on an oil rig who wants to make a call. Give me a break! How many oil riggers are there? And now (turning to David Faber) they want to sell this (service) in areas where lines are not available. Now give me a break!! Do you really think people living in areas that cannot afford regular phone lines are going to be paying for satellite service?"

Please tackle the issues he has raised:

1) Real market for marine/remote communications (also raised by Rocketman earlier).
2) Are people in areas without conv. lines (like rural India) wealthy enough to afford sat. service?

Kunal

To all - the "guest moron" gave more of his views on G* near the end of his "time slot."

Boy ! -- my comments the other day about Wall Street perceptions of G* being "eerily similar to Qualcomm about a year and a half ago" are looking more and more true.

We just had a so-called "expert" on G* tell a lot of TV viewers some very poorly thought out analyses of G*.

We have a massive short position in G*

We have the vast majority of the investing public NOT familiar at all with G*.

Can anyone else think of some more parallels ?

Jon.

LoD:

He has a chip on his shoulder since IONN which he promoted went up 6 points, so he thinks he is a genius, and then pounding on G* while David Faber told him that his reasoning applied to Iridium but not G*.

Best regards

Paul

BTW LoD, I thought you're going to change your Userid? What gave?
