Uncle Frank..Ownership by a substantial number of the gg gang is enough reason to include it in a GKI. My intent wasn't to defend the integrity of the GKI.
If I was precisely following the methodology I wouldn't own it because it's too early. Knowing this does effect the "tightness" of my holding, since I don't have the margin of error that I would have if it was already in the tornado.
Enough of this - we both think the odds are in our favor or we wouldn't have it. The high P/E (174 according to First Call) may suggest that present published future earnings estimates are not what the market is really expecting.

Lucius, excellent post. i view it as we have received a letter of intent on gem's gorillahood which is a legal document. so it's just a matter of when we receive the official signed gorilla contract and not if. another unorthodox gauge i use is that NY Stew has been hit with everything including the kitchen sink in the way of skeptical questions regarding gem's total dominance and has each and everytime had a positive answer. until that streak is broken or the merger with tv guide is cancelled, gem is a gorilla in my book and have been adding to my position accordingly. I also agree with you that what you see in yahoo research are basically rearview mirror numbers and do not accurately reflect the future.
