Tommaso -

<<As long as we are talking bargains, is $124 for a brand new Maxtor 7200 rpm 13.6 Gb drive OK, or should I expect to get it free? (They are selling them for that at ONSALE/EGGHEAD).>>

Make sure that it's a DiamondMax PLUS, with UDMA66 and a 2Meg buffer, as well as 7200RPM. It's a good product, but it was a Staples promotion about 3 weeks ago at $129.95, no coupon required and $64.95 of useless software thrown in. With normal price changes, it should be at $100 by the time you receive it. $80 if UPS Ground. -g-

Regards, Don
