I made the mistake of lumping cmrc in with arba last summer when I was first looking at these stocks. Arba is a bunch of guys from next,inc. fwiw... Cmrc we all know has Hoffman from Sybase and some big database apps people. I really believe that Arba will suffer for the lack of mgmt understanding of high end enterprise apps and what the roadblocks are... from day one cmrc has hit the big issues with partnerships with neon, etc. before arba. I should have trusted my instincts and bought this one much earlier than I did. I also think Oracle will emerge as a major player too - although their stock has runup recently also.
