Anybody else watching LPTHA...just got back from long lunch with DH (new Thai restaurant in town, got to take advantage of having my mom babysit) and saw it was over 11 again. :-)

Sold half my XING at 60 from 30 . . holding 1 position free here. The news said XING "plans" to make CDMA phones. . . which implies they will be making CDMA chips. . . it is the CDMA chips that made QCOM so popular. . .but I can't imagine this Chinese company coming to America for their chips, when they could make them cheaper themselves. . in China. . . and there is the rub. . . . QCOM has had little to no competition. . . and that is why the sudden interest in XING. . . But remember. . .it is a momo today. . . it must be first EVALUATED before it is anything but a momo. Currently the perception by traders is that it should be selling at a much higher price based on QCOM success. . . . but QCOM longs will be sure to downplay any similarities in XING. QCOM has been dropping from 515 since this announcement. . . this should be fun to watch. . . I don't trust QCOM. . .and would be more interested in shorting it from 515 . . . what could the upside be? 1000? 1500? Give me a break. . . the Broadcom chips have a better chance of being used in the next generation Internet cell phones anyway. Needless to say. . . I would swap QCOM with BRCM in long ports. I will probably only hold half my free shares of XING overnight. . .as a sort of lottery ticket. . . Rande Is
