Xin Net Accredited by ICANN as New Domain Name Registrar
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Xin Net Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: XNET - news) is pleased to announce it has been accredited by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) to provide domain name registration services. This ICANN accreditation (http://www.icann.org/announcements/icann-pr21dec.htm) enables ChinaDNS to compete under the most favorable terms in the market for domain name registration services by participating in the Shared Registry System (SRS), which allows multiple ICANN-accredited registrars to register domain name in the .com, .net and .org domains.

This accreditation will help the Company to grow significantly both its subscriber base and ChinaDNS. So far over 13,000 domain names have been registered. Xin Net has recently signed more than one hundred agents to sell its services in China, including well-known local telecom companies Beijing Telecom and Luo-Yang Telecom.

Xin Net provides Internet access and content (www.xinnet.com.cn), online domain name registration (www.ChinaDNS.com) and online auction (www.xinbid.com). It currently operates in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenyang and has ISP licenses for six (6) other Chinese cities. Its subscriber base has presently exceeded 50,000 (including domain name registrants) and it has approximately 150,000 e-mail accounts.
