No, there is a difference. The Japs didn't have the media joined at the hip pumping the mania and many locals were scratching their head also. I recall having a beer with the head of a big Japanese accounting firm in which we marveled at the situation. This US stuff is a bit different, IMO. The managing editor of Time is on CNBS's Hardball spouting crap why Jeff Bozos is the most important man of the year or century. I rest my case.
