When my son was little, we had a fish tank and three goldfish, Minnie, Fimbrole and Clorox, and they died gradually, it was horrible. They disintegrated, bit by bit. Their little fins got more and more raggedy, and there was less and less fin there, and then whitish patches appeared on their wee piscine bodies and got larger and larger, and we did whatever the pet store told us to do, which entailed changing the water a LOT, but... the floating death followed.

It was hideous. I will never have fish again. Needless to say.
