Your rule #3 is Warning #1:

do not get greedy, have the capacity to absorb if assigned. And my caveat: watch your margin, watch your margin. When that phone rings and one gets a margin call, undoubtedly it is a bad day: you have to sell stock when it is down.

On the other hand: you own your core holdings. Do you just let it sit there, be happy getting the appreciation, or you take it to a notch higher: use it to make more money, 5 to 6 % a month. I am being modest to call it crumbs. 70%+ additional income on the portfolio is nothing to sneeze at.

BTW: we are lucky to have edamo willing to share his experience and knowledge. A knowledgable gentleman Don Martini used to post as well, unfortunately he has been silent since the end of June.
