Uncle Frank,

I am currently 48 and my IRA is not yet large enough to allow independence. However, with a couple more years like this one, it could be. I owe you and the other thread elders a debt of gratitude for helping make it possible to even think about it.

I appreciate the suggestion, I knew there were some loop holes but had never seriously investigated them. (OH, one of the good things about living in Texas is that there is not state income tax. It has often been said that the legislature is more likely to legalize prostituion than pass a state income tax. (and there is not much chance of that.))
