Fred,

That is what I thought, so people can continue to sell through 12/31/1999 and still claim a tax loss for 1999. So the selling may not be over, although I'm sick of it already! :)

Thanks for clarifying this. I was also thinking it was the trade day for tax purposes. It is what I have always used for tax purposes. I believe CNBC has confused a lot of people on this issue for the last several days.
