Funny you mention that! I heard a hilarious thing on NPR about the BBC top 10 songs for the xmas week 1999... apparently the 3 frontrunners were 1) "The lords prayer" sung to smaltzy elevator music by a 58-year old former pop star (? Richards), 2) automated hamsters originated on somebody's webpage singing a disco tune - sounds a little like the chipmunks, 3) a team of Scottish politicians singing folksongs - this particular tune was amazing, it reminded me of what I always thought Charles Bronson would sound like. At that time they were predicting the hamsters would win.
