I agree with you, although I'd suggest that there may be an element of perspective here. I certainly should have said the de facto standard HIGH LEVEL language. I, too, worked primarily in assembly language ... rewriting Processor Tech's "monitor" (in 2K) to achieve something special that I needed. As everyone else (except the Apple folks), I ran CP/M (initially on a North Star disk), messed with CBasic, programmed PIO and SIO chips, and so forth. I did not, however, run an Altair or program with switches.

Arcane details aside, the point I wanted to make was that it is important to seed the market. That's why I think it is worthwhile for INPR to get their tools in the hands of developers ... as many, and as quickly, as possible. When the tools are out there the enhancements and upgrades will follow.
