January gusher: Marc, who knows. I understand your reasoning and it makes sense. But many of us don't factor in tax angle in our trading decisions because it mucks things up too much. We're resigned to paying the capital gains tax and we balance it out (hopefully) with loss sales of our dog picks. Generally, I think the money flows in January are heavy. Several commentators on CNBC have talked about Y2k jitters as creating an exceptional pent up horde of cash for Jan 2000 from the nervous nellies. I'm increasingly optimistic about the stock, but always keep a trailing stop! Preserve your capital!!!
