Yes, isn't it wonderfully gaga? It reminded me somehow of the interview I saw with a woman who collected teddy bears. They asked her why she collected them. She said, "Because they are always there for me." And then there was the interview by Gerald Ford's son, who had a brief career as a TV reporter, of a weight lifter. The weightlifter was describing the hardships and discipline involved in the life of a weightlifter, and Ford asked him, "Well, why do you do this, if it's so painful and difficult?" and the man replied, and he was entirely serious and earnest, "Somebody has got to do it." But I do think "Don't get sick. It isn't worth it," is the ineffable best.
