We get screwed here in Canada with commissions. They really hammer us with commissions here. I have paid 900.00 dollars in one day for 2 trades on approx. 15,000 dollars worth of stock. Buy and a sell. I went discount and the savings are about 50% off that. I would bet I paid 30,000 dollars in commissions over the last 4 years. Once we can put our on-line trades right to the traders and eliminate all the middlemen, the commissions will come down. It's not like the USA where you can trade for 12.00 bucks.
