*OT* Consider yourself lucky. I am Active Duty Air Force and with all the budget cuts etc, military healthcare has become obsolete.

I ripped the meniscus in my knee and destroyed my ACL tendon. The Base hospital called it a sprain for 2 1/2 years until I got congressman and everyone else involved and they finally fixed it about a month ago. I still have a bad shoulder from 6 years ago.

We get nothing for the flu at all other than being told to tough it out. Just thought you might feel a little better though not much knowing you are not alone.

Richest nation in the world yet we all go through this???

Good Luck,

Lee

Rich:

Used to work for an insurance company that has become a health care company. Like everything there is two sides to the story. Your pointing out one of the negatives. I could defend some of the practices but it would take a long time and should not be on this thread.

I equate it to the pendulum. At one time there were no controls on the medical community (a lot of waste and inefficency) and now its gone too far (with more waste and inefficency, just different).

We'll just have to let the market work it out.

Just imagine if you didn't have health insurance and needed to visit a doctor or hosipital. Good buy savings.
