Samsung takes up 70% of Israel CDMA market

Samsung Electronics said yesterday its share of the CDMA (code
division multiple access) mobile phone market in Israel reached 70
percent just a year after it entered the market.

The company started to export the devices to the nation in November
last year, with shipments so far estimated at 450,000 units, 70 percent of
the total CDMA mobile phone sales in Israel.

Samsung also topped a recent consumer survey, conducted by an Israeli
daily newspaper, in the mobile phone category, beating Nokia, Motorola
and Ericsson. The newspaper attributed Samsung mobile phones'
popularity to their technological superiority, fresh design and full
compliance with the Hebrew language, a company spokesman said.

I hope Q is working on a guided missle that would disable, or sufficiently screw up any CDMA signal that uses pirated chips and/or refuses to pony up royalties.

Is this possible?
