John, I guess we Californians are the epitomy of the ugly American, if you read the book. Just our lousy luck to have gotten to the land of milk, honey and silicon. What I'll do is take on maximum guilt, donate everything to a Jonestown type evangelist and look for the next express rocket to the Centaurus A galaxy.

I'll take on the name repentant tony, and just before I leave on the rocket, I will try to convert humble carl also. RIGHT.
