Hi Ken,

Thanks for your reply.

>>>new SI options thread

Wow, for a thread that just started a 3 days ago, 350+ posts. How does anyone have time to follow and still trade :-)

>>>RB

On some occasions I will roam to Raging Bull Options. TMF (fool) also has some good posts occasionally. I haven't been to Yahoo's board in ages... it used to be mostly drivel and spam... at least the stock threads there; I've never been to the options thread there.

I guess that's the price to pay at SI, less noise to wade thru, but fewer posts in general due to the current 'pay to post' nature of it.

---
You make an astute observation: "lack fresh information and discussion".
There are a number of experienced option traders (such as yourself) on SI, but they don't seem to post on the same board.
There used to be others too, but they probably left due to frustration level w/ seeing rehashed issues. (perhaps).
My gut feel is that SI is slowly dying... it's a shame for experience traders to leave SI, only to be replaced by novice ones.

I appreciate your posting here and other SI threads. I am an options novice compared to you.

---
Thanks for the HHH news... I saw the CBOE announcement, wondered why AMEX wasn't first... I had obviously missed that PR.

Ken,

I have been following that "Hot" Thread as well. They could use your insight into option tactics and practical lessons learned.

Dave

The very fact that such a thread is hot and most of the people involved are option novices.

Who are flush with excitement from having long calls on QCOM and other rocket stocks, and some (most?) think they've found the guaranteed royal road to riches.

Although there are some excellent and experienced posters contributing (PAL, edamo, and a few others not coming to mind right now...), most are indeed novices and could use some perspective. I encourage others to join me there now and then.

Ken,

"The very fact that such a thread is hot and most of the people involved are option novices makes me very nervous about the general market"

Do you mean that you weren't nervous before<VBG>?

Good Trading and Happy New Year to all.

Dave
