Pat, the "S" means sales. Not surprising to me that insiders are selling. I suspect that many have stock options that may be expiring. Also, they have been sitting on a stock that has not performed particularly well for a long time. New houses, cars, kids education, etc. all look very tempting. Further, studies have repeatedly shown that there is no correlation between insider selling and price movement. (However, insider buying has been shown to be very bullish.)

Pat,
the "S" does in fact mean sale.
The 144 means intent of sale.

OT, I have been hunting CMTO for sometime now...when is it going to let me in at 21?

Good luck,
Eric

Pat or Robt --

Would either care to comment on anything that can be extrapolated from the QCOM comments by PaineWeber as relevant to VARL. The PaineWeber analyst is emphasizing the royalties with adoption of CDMA worldwide and believes wholesale adoption by ERICY,MOT,and NOK will contribute to even further worldwide sales especially from Asia.

The obvious implications would include the outlook for wireless devices -- which require components such as VCOs along with CDMA chipsets. It may be somewhat simplistic but, CDMA success especially through ERICY,MOT, and NOK should bode well for VARL.

TIA,
Jeff
