My less than 2 cents-
I hated The Piano.
HATED it.
I also hated Barton Fink. I never made it through Pulp Fiction. ANd as you know, I despised Eyes Wide Shut. I don't like angsty movies.

Saw the Green Mile yesterday and loved it. But it may be because Tom Hanks' character is Dan to a fault. It was like watching my husband on the screen.

Ah, more movies stuff. Perhaps I'm butting in, but Sweetie has yet to give me specific instructions re how to make myself useful today. There have been strong hints, but I rarely budge until stronger measures are taken.

Conspicuous by its absence on ANY list has been "Goodbye Jupiter," an early 80s Japanese Sci Fi epic in which I turned in a riveting performance as commander of the space fleet charged with evacuation of the entire Jovian population.

I don't recall having a name -- I may have been addressed simply as "Commander." My ship was called "Flashbird."

My crew consisted of an Aussie and a Swede -- perhaps to add exotic international flair to the production. We were so exciting, an extra scene was written for us on the spot!

Nice bundle of yen for two days "work."

There was a downside, of course. Realized for first time in my life that I was AGING when the make-up came off. Damnedest thing!

M

I think it should be kept on the thread[s] that are made for political Combat.

I thought this thread was more for Relaxation, etc. and was surprised to see it tolerate the angst-ridden energy...

I'll do my part to stop the Insanity.

[on Feelings]

I did glance over the movie posts...I don't see many movies.

My faves are:

-The Planet of the Apes [the original]

That's my Movie list-
