BI*RI: Much appreciate extensive rundown and analysis of TLAB and GBLX.

On TLAB, an original in my Telecom equip gg started on Mike's AOL/Fool board in May 1998. Extremely well managed company.

But IMO not at the cutting edge of technology now. It's cross connect is related to switching now heavily in use, but will begin to have less business when optical switching is a reality - a year or two.

So looking forward, not as strong as some other possibilities such as Nortel Networks.

All just IMO of course.

On GBLX, your information and analysis is comprehensive and accurate from what I have learned. Simply agree.

See GBLX as much stronger looking ahead than TLAB.

But - and this is the big but - don't see any "lock" that GBLX has so don't see gorilla characteristics. Not even a king in terms of being dominant in comparison with other service providers - except perhaps in the "niche" (and a huge growing low cost supply niche) of undersea fiber service.

Also to be successful in getting a candidate accepted here - even one with the bright future that GBLX has, an IPR "lock",the tornado, market dominance, etc. need to be addressed specifically.

You can convince me of GBLX's potential (except I already own GBLX but have sold TLAB) but doubt others here will be as easily persuaded, and even I don't see GBLX as a gorilla or king (yet).

And of course, George Gilder is with you.

As they say in baseball, "Wait 'til next year" - on GBLX.
