A different perspective on Globalstar's recent rise.

1. Service launch 15 December in Canada - VOD/ATI Territory. Immediately, GSTRF share price starts heading north in a big way.

2. One week later, ATI/VOD announces they will start service 1 Jan 2000 which is about a month earlier than prior information as well as phone calls by me indicated.

3.Also 1 week later, NORSAT (a Canadian company) announces data deal with Globalstar - details fuzzy, but huge potential

4. Also 1 week later, Gilder report which has been fully discussed here.

I believe #1-#3 could be related as well. Many of us have been waiting for the "early results" of service initiation. Perhaps some people already know them and they are very good.

Disclaimer verrrrrrry long and own no LOR (nothin personal, it's just that I believe the potential return over the next year or so is much higher here. Risk? What risk? :-))

Regards, Dave

BTW, I was thinking about getting one of those new Palm VII's so I could get e-mail, check quotes etc., but I figured I'd wait until Microsoft and Globalstar announce their deal to make a PDA with voice and wireless connectivity based on windows CE that will connect me from anywhere, not just in those claustrophobic cells - What better way for Microsoft to make those Palm guys with their non-CE operating system look bad?
