i noticed, but it means nothing...the bond rally is the last hitch before the melt probably. contrary to what everybody says, sentiment on the bond is remarkably unbearish, in spite of it's dismal performance. not in the polls, but per the Rydex ratio, which is very low...

You talked about some of your friends questioning this rally for the last 9 weeks. More than a few of my friends who make fun of me for my bearish view on the market (they are not necessarily bulls) have serious doubts about this rally. They all say UFB. Among the expatriot Indians, it is inconceivable why one wouldn;t go long INFY or SIFY? They think of the likes of me as some what eccentric. A good majority of the guys I know who play the market are sitting on gains like 200k, 300k, 400k etc. Guess what, they don't want to sell now as the tax man will get a bite!* Perhaps when they place an order to sell, their broker will ask them, "sell to whom?" -g-

[*BGR, stay out of this. They want to avoid taxes for this year. All they are trying to do is defer taxes to next year. This, is what Heinz referred to as "tax consequence." I don't expect you to understand a concept as simple as this. FYI, I am trying to preempt a response form you.]
