Hawaii, options question, por favor.

I tried buying more options today. I went to the CBOE page you showed me and my Jan30 is not even displayed! So, I tried buying some Jan25 at 3/8. Interestingly, although both exchanges had an ask for 7/16, one promptly moved up to 1/2.

They are dreaming if they think I will budge!

I am amazed how much cheaper the 25's are now than the 30's I bought not that long ago. Somebody seems very gloomy out there.

I may nibble at the February later.

Let me know if I am doing something wrong or if nobody is trying to sell any 30's so I just can't see them.

And, yes, I can afford to pay 7/16, but I refuse to deal with people that play these games ;-)

Do you want to get together this century?

Bink

My feeling is that the last best opportunity to buy at lows is today and tomorrow. After the end of the year with the tax selling pressure gone, I think it likely to immediately start trending back to the 24 range and ntop to 58 range without news.

That makes perfect sense to me.
But since when has IDTC been sensible?

On Monday I start a new job as a manager in
Special Service in Home Depot replete with
stock options and other in house investment
opportunities.(Someone told me a guarantee
of 15% on any money diverted from weekly
paycheck)Pre-taxed and usable at any time.

I'll still be in the car business, but in a
different capacity. Recently purchased three
1995 Lincoln Town Cars, and have drivers that
pay me commission to use the cars. Will bank
my entire HD check every week. Not bad
since I never did get past 10th grade.

Car service is an all cash business with no benefits.
This is why I took the HD job.Getting older,
bennies are most important for myself and family.

Sold cars for over 15 years.Time to move on.
It's a young kids game. Years ago, you sold for a mom and pop store and they treated you right. In the
last 10 years,everything changed.Now its all
mega-stores.One owner...20 dealerships.Can
bust your hump for years and
hardly ever see
the owner.Not my style...

>>Steve, FWIW, I think the pressure on the stock right not almost solely has to do with tax selling on NTOP. Due to the fact that NTOP was run up recently to as high as $75 on the roadshow and then jackhammered back down by H&Q. There are A LOT of folks looking to take the tax loss. That in turn is hitting IDTC. <<

Don't you love it? IDTC goes down when NTOP gets hit but does not go up when NTOP does. Huh?

This has easily been one of the dumbest places to put your investment money. I have been in since April, 99 at 28. Meanwhile I watch others stocks in my portfolio like CKFR go from 28-104, COMS go from 23-47, and this stock only seems to go down. The NTOP IPO sure didn't do anything for IDTC. The NASDAQ boom of '99 sure didn't do anything. IMO this is dead money. The street obviously hates IDTC and it shows. What makes January of '00 so magical that we should continue to hold this dog?
